If you work in benefits, you've heard about the Early Retiree Reinsurance Program (ERRP), introduced by the Affordable Care Act. ERRP is the program that provides reimbursement for a portion of the health care benefits for early retirees, surviving spouses and dependents. However, many may not be aware that if the Plan Sponsor is unable to provide an error-free Claims List by March 30, 2012 to substantiate the reimbursement already received, monies will have to be paid back to ERRP.
